Wang Jian Shan graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Southwest Normal University in 1983 and the Printmaking Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1986. He is the former Vice Chairman of the Guizhou Artists Association, Dean of the College of Culture, Arts, and Communication at Guizhou Minzu University, second-level professor, and master’s tutor, Guizhou Province Provincial Management Expert, member of the China Artists Association, member of the Printmaking Art Committee of the China Artists Association, member of the Printmaking Academy of the Chinese Culture and Art Development Promotion Association, member of the Academic Committee of the Guizhou Academy of Painting, and librarian of the Guizhou Provincial Museum of Culture and History.
