Ge Zhi Wen (b.1978) was born in Jiangsu Province. He began designing and carving teapots and duan inkstone in 1995. He also paints and makes seal engravings. Ge Zhi Wen’s works have been shown on Jiangsu TV, Nanjing TV, Yangzhou TV, Yangzi Paper, Nanjing Daily, Jiangsu Workers Paper, and more. He has published several catalogues of his works and talks.

Ge Zhi Wen is a superstar artist and exhibitionist. In 1997, his carved teapot Origin of Kindness was traded for nearly 120,000 yuan. In October 1997, his giant teapot inspired by an ox (with an impressive size 108 x 55 x 49.8 cm, weighing 160.5 kg) was sold for nearly 260,000 yuan. Up till 2016, he constantly appeared in the Chinese art expo and auction circuit. Art collectors and watchers are clearly taken to his brand of impeccable and ostentatious craftsmanship.
