Dong Xue is an internatioanlly-acclaimed master of inside painting. He is one of the second generation of artists specialized in drawing portraits.  

Dong Xue devoted his art to real-life portraits of renowned historical figures. His special style of portrait painting in bottles is refined in form and vivid in composition. His works have been well-credited and honoured in numerous art albums published by prominent collectors across the globe. In addition to numerous awards, Dong Xue is proclaimed as a  “First Class Artist of Hebei Province” by the Hebei People’s Government.  

His works are published in important snuff bottle painting literature, including Chinese Inside Painting of the Modern Age, Snuff Bottle Art of the World, Treasures of Inside Painting, and An Insight into Chinese Inside Painting. His works are displayed at the Hebei Folk Arts Museum, Xisan Museum of Inside Painting, and the Nanking Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. 

Master Dong is the director of the Hebei Museum of Inside Painting, deputy director of the Ji School of Painting, and a member of the International Chinese Snuff Bottle Society, America.
